When people ask me "what is your ideal job" a few pop into my head. Games designer, astronaut, games designer but the one that stands out for me the most is community manager. I would love that job so much interacting with the gaming community, playing games before they get released, meeting all the hot gaming chicks and telling them of my stories as a level 59 berserk master on some RPG It's the kind of job that you dream of but seldom ever get the chance to apply for, and when an opportunity does arise you would grab it with both hands feet and anything else that comes to mind. Is anyone looking for a community manager at the moment? Here's the video for your viewing pleasure Linky Now here's the story of how this challenge came to be: Around two weeks ago myself and my friend were talking on Facebook, we were reminiscing about martial arts and the times we used to train.  He asked me if I still had it, I replied yes and said I could take him any day. His response was a challenge but not in the traditional way, he purposed that we fight on Killer Instinct for the snes since that was the only version he said he had played. I asked him if he was sure considering out of every fighting game I have played KI was the one I put the most hours into around 800 odd last time I checked. I offered a few other fighters such as SSF4AE or KOF13 he refused and said he wanted to play KI. Never one to back down from any challenge I accepted and the stage was set for our encounter. THE FIGHT : When I got to the shop I had brought two controllers (since he told me he didn't want to use my arcade stick)

Sometimes we have to say what we are feeling inside, what our heart is telling us. So I decided to do just that when a friend of mine challenged me to a game of Killer Instinct.

There has always been this huge myth surrounding the coalition between video games and violent acts committed by the people who play them. As a huge fan of video gaming from an early age (I remember playing the C64 when dinosaurs ruled the earth) I have always been exposed to their fictional world of entertainment. Around this same time I was exposed to violent films such as The Terminator and Robocop films that carried 18 certificates at that time. Watching them my grandmother was always quick to point out that the action was fantasy and that such things never happened in real life. Because of this I was able very clearly to differentiate the differences between reality and fiction. My nan was somewhat old school in her parenting ways however she had managed to adapt herself to the current way of thinking rather than be stuck in the 1930's. Well it came out yesterday and I've seen the "new" endings and....well....I really didnt see the point of them changing it in the first place. I mean why did they change it due to fan pressure? Sigh.....fans dictating what should and shouldn't be in a game, there is a point where fans need to back down I feel and let the game designers do what they are paid to do. Now in some cases games designers need a good kick up the bum and need to be reminded how great games really are. Remember the 90's when devs really did love games and that love shined through in games like Mario Sonic Earthworm Jim to name but a few. And then something happened devs lost that love and the generic videogame was born. Fans had their input and it was welcome but there has to be a line drawn. A story is just that its told its retold but ultimately it never deviates to far from the original vision. In the case of bioware we MUST understand that it is THEIR story not ours. They create

You know I never really know what to write in these blogs half the time, I find myself more often than not just typing random things. So what's been happening well I started to film a little of my horror movie today, it went really well and even managed to edit it into a short scene. What's that you wanna see it? Well I might upload it to youtube depends ;) Oh yeah someone pinched one of my business cards! So where have I been eh? Well to be honest I've been rather busy with my youtube aaaaand making horror movies for the mighty flea. Also I've not wanted to blog in a good while just not been feeling like it, I've had too many of those cant be bothered to move moments in the mornings :P I will try and get on here more often but at the moment it's hard. I'm currently creating my own horror movie for the mighty flea. You see the idea was that all of us would create a horror movie so that's three films to look forward too. In fact the first one is already uploaded to the might flea on youtube. Well that's it for now guys and don't forget I never went away just slept for a while :P

Indeed it has been a while since I posted last I forget about my blog quite a bit :P anyway here's the low down on whats been happening: Been playing the doa5 demo LOTS and I'm loving it to be honest, really improved from 4 just not liking the QTE.....I HATE QTE!!!!! Anyway yeah DOA5 awesome you know what else is awesome? You guys Oh yeah that reminds me in one of my youtube videos I got my friend to join me and give his thoughts, he loved doing it so we are gonna do more in the future And Comic Con 2012: To be honest the event wasn't really my kind of thing it was full of comic books and movie memorabilia. I went along as it was a day out and it's good to spend time with friends, one of my mates even got himself a date out of the whole thing...sadly I didn't Speaking of dates I got asked on one the other day but I said I didn't have the time, which was half right and half a lie. Complicated story maybe for another time. S

Yes I've just heard the news that Assassins Creed 3 will be set in colonial America...yeah I was thinking that too. I really have no idea what Ubisoft are doing feels to me like they are playing it safe. They could have set it anywhere Aztecs, Mayans, Japan but no colonial America. When will company's STOP PLAYING IT SAFE!!!!

Yes today is the Chinese new year of the dragon (fitting eh) and to celebrate I'm having a fun filled day of Asian only gaming :P What will you guys be doing this day?
