So many rumors and embellished conjecture are the decorations for an otherwise fantastic event in gaming history...the reveal of a new console. No matter how you want to look at things there is an undeniable fact when it comes to multimedia company's, they all want that magic box that can deliver all types of entertainment medium to you instantly. It's much more cost effective to them and you the consumer. People will play on the misconstrued fact by stating “we want a console to play games and only games” in case people forget Nintendo actually applied this theory with a little console called the Gamecube which simply played games and nothing else. The console failed once people realized it would not play their DVD's or CD's, no one wants several little boxes littering your home that all deliver various types of media. So recently I started playing the free to play game Happy Wars on my xbox, it's a fun multiplayer RPG alike title where the object is to take towers and capture the opponents castle. However with all free to play games there are special unique weapons/armor/items that cost real world money to acquire. However these items just so happen to be the most devastating of creations meaning that unless you buy them you'll be left defeated within seconds of starting a battle. This is precisely what happened to me when playing the game, during the third battle me and my party were at the mercy of the opposing team whom had used happy tokens (currency you gain by using real money) to acquire the best weapons and armor available. With one hit (yes ONE) I was defeated and by the time I respawned the other team had entered our castle and we tasted defeat. As some of you may be aware there is a new version/remake/re imagining of the beloved Double Dragon 2 sitting snugly on your new arcade titles list. Being a huge DD fan (my favorite was always Return on the SNES) I decided to download and play the demo and hope that it erased the horror that was Double Dragon Neon from my mind.....oh how wrong I was. A truly awful combat system coupled with nasty visuals not to mention a below average frame rate (I'm sure it was doing no more than 30fps) made me go back to the dash and check that I had downloaded the right game. Turns out I had downloaded the right game and this piece of clunky clumsy excuse for a videogame was a new version of DD. All I can say is COME BACK RISE OF THE ROBOTS ALL IS FORGIVEN!!!

Well its been a rather long time but here I am again, I guess I kinda forgot about this place and was so tied up in things . A quick update before we go any further I have stopped uploading videos to my youtube channel, I stopped for many reasons that I explained in my last video. Xmas was rather good got two awesome films (Once Upon A Time In China 1 and 2) and well not much else lol but that was all I wanted really. Games wise I simply can't stop playing Tekken Tag 2, Anarchy Reigns, Tekken 6 and VF5FS, although I've found recently I've gone back to my retro fighting games such as DOA2/3 CVSNK2 and SC2. Anyways I hope to blog more often from now on and let you all know whats going on, if I don't then well I can't be bothered lol

When people ask me "what is your ideal job" a few pop into my head. Games designer, astronaut, games designer but the one that stands out for me the most is community manager. I would love that job so much interacting with the gaming community, playing games before they get released, meeting all the hot gaming chicks and telling them of my stories as a level 59 berserk master on some RPG It's the kind of job that you dream of but seldom ever get the chance to apply for, and when an opportunity does arise you would grab it with both hands feet and anything else that comes to mind. Is anyone looking for a community manager at the moment? His response was a challenge but not in the traditional way, he purposed that we fight on Killer Instinct for the snes since that was the only version he said he had played. I asked him if he was sure considering out of every fighting game I have played KI was the one I put the most hours into around 800 odd last time I checked. I offered a few other fighters such as SSF4AE or KOF13 he refused and said he wanted to play KI. Never one to back down from any challenge I accepted and the stage was set for our encounter.
