Things getting better?

So recently I've noticed an influx in the amount of views and comments on my youtube channel, I'm guessing it's because of my recent Battle for the Grid videos that I've been uploading. Shameless link to my recent vid HERE I honestly like to think it's not just that and that people genuinely like the content I produce, although I have been putting in a lot more effort into it. I am still trying to get my youtube partnership back since it was taken away from me at the start of last year. Essentially youtube have changed who is eligible for partnership by incorporating new rules regarding their monetization program. Before this anyone could be eligible but now only those who can regularly make youtube money will be considered. You need 1000 subscribers and over 4000 "watch" hours to be considered under the new rules, basically meaning in total people have to watch your videos for 4000 hours in the last 12 months. Seems easy right? Well to bigger ...

Something has to change, maybe in the new year?

A while back a few of you may or may not remember that I was talking about this huge opportunity that I'd stumbled upon and things seemed to be looking up for the first time...in a long time. However recent developments have sullied that ideal situation and I now find myself in a position where I have to make some pretty big decisions. Luck has always been on my side for the most part, plenty of times I've been at the mercy of fate and lady luck stepped in to help me out. However over over the past few months it seems lady luck is too tired to help out. This opportunity didn't work out as well as I planned and although I thought it was a certainty it was anything but. I'm stuck in a desperate situation where my dreams and thoughts of the future may be put on hold until my life can stabilise little first. Chasing my dreams is all very well and good but without the proper support it's a waste of time. When I say support I don't mean support from friends or fam...

Sick Of IG Cock Sucking!

Getting a little fucking sick of these cocks claiming Iron Galaxy will save KI after what DH did to it. How in the living cock will they save it? Was it dead to begin with? Why are you writing off the work that DH did? Oh I get it since DH are out of the picture now you feel you can be complete and utter cocks to them. Fucking hypocritical bastards all of you. Bumming the fuck out of IG and all they have shown thus far is ONE character and ONE stage. You gauge they are better than DH from THAT! Are you fucking kidding me? Can we just wait and see what they do with the rest of the cast and game before we start sucking their cocks dry? "oh they are so good cos it only took them 6 weeks to make combo" Fucking sick of hearing this shit too, let me break it down for you He IS NOT FINISHED! He won't be until after EVO so now it's taken them a damn sight more time than six fucking weeks. Get your fucking cocks from up IG's asses please it's like none of you give two ...

TNA Wrestling...Yes I love It

So it's Sunday again which means it's TNA wrestling time...well I'll have to wait until 9 tonight but yes the point still stands. I started watching TNA when it first started to broadcast on Challenge TV, a free TV channel in the UK for those that have freeview. However I had actually been watching TNA many years before in my college years seeing classic bouts between stars like AJ, Chris Daniels, Samoa Joe etc. Many interesting story lines are going on at the moment and yes before you tell me I know it's a soap opera for men.  Saying that women also watch TNA and no sport/TV show should be created purely for one sex over the other. I do personally love the fact that at the end of my Sunday I can relax and watch some TNA before the going to bed and the working week begins again. Also Challenge TV show the TNA PPV shows for free! You need pay nothing not even a banana peel to watch these great shows. However I don't recommend sending banana peels to Challenge TV ...

I'm So Sorry

I've been neglecting my blogging duties on here for some time and for that I'm deeply sorry, time to keep you all informed with what's going in the world of the dragon. Well today it's the 4th July so happy independence day to all my American fans :) It's Friday the end of the week is here which means a busy day until this evening and then plenty of gaming into the night and a relaxing weekend, although if you have to work at the weekend then you have my sympathy. I've worked the weekend shift before and it sucks...royally. I'll be trying my damnedest to keep this updated as much as possible from now on see you all soon.

Stop Trolling Microsoft

Honestly this whole lets troll Microsoft in a feeble attempt to get attention is getting rather old rather quickly. People are upset over perceived invasion of rights and privileges however no one is forcing you to commit to any contract or purchase. Don't like where their management is taking the company? Fine send them an email to the appropriate address and address your concerns with them. Every company has a sort of customer complaints division and believe it or not the company WILL listen to them so long as you represent your concerns in an intellectual manner. However DON'T: Abuse/spam their twitter feed (it makes you appear as a juvenile delinquent devoid of character) Abuse/spam their Facebook pages (same reasons as above) Make quite frankly ridiculous and stupid pictures to ridicule their character (your not a child are you) I've mentioned previously that digital downloads are taking precedence regardless of your personal feelings tow...

Xbox One DRM is gone...but gamers still complain?

It may be old news that Microsoft have reversed some of the DRM policies associated with the Xbox One console, however the scars remain for many gamers and I sit here wondering why? The idea of the DRM policies being a bad thing is open for discussion however why do gamers feel so violated? Let me ask you all a very honest question: Did any of you actually buy an Xbox One console yet? The answer is no because it does not go on sale until some time in November. So then why do gamers feel that their rights have somehow been affected when none of them even purchased the console to begin with. A similar situation would be a restaurant giving you a cheese burger when you specifically asked for no cheese. They apologize and bring you a fresh burger with no cheese, however insulted you refuse this and complain...even though no money was exchanged. Did they charge you for the cheese burger? No Did they listen and bring you what you ordered originally? Yes So the...

How Microsoft Perplexed A Gaming Generation

When Microsoft revealed the 21 st of May as their showcase for the future of the entertainment medium I was excited by the prospect. Having been disappointed by Sony's offerings of sequels and pseudo Frankenstein controllers, I was hoping MS would offer something more...much more. Well we all saw the console which is more than what Sony did, however upon feasting it's rather bland 1980's vhs player styled design should they have showed it at all? A small part of me thought it was deliberate in an attempt to make the console look similar to those of old, those from my generation. Maybe they wanted to grab the attention of the Space Invaders elite? If that was the intention then they failed as the new Xbox One (it's now official name) looked more akin to a set top box than a console with the same features enjoyed by that said medium. As I sit here a cool breeze gusting through the balcony doors and a refreshing Orange juice greets my lips I wonder if t...

My Glorious Return

It's official I have returned to youtube in style, you can view my controversial escapades here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnfOfO7j6x8 In the video I discuss my thoughts and feelings towards DRM  and always online next gen consoles.

Next Gen Is Here.....DEAL WITH IT

So many rumors and embellished conjecture are the decorations for an otherwise fantastic event in gaming history...the reveal of a new console. No matter how you want to look at things there is an undeniable fact when it comes to multimedia company's, they all want that magic box that can deliver all types of entertainment medium to you instantly. It's much more cost effective to them and you the consumer. People will play on the misconstrued fact by stating “we want a console to play games and only games” in case people forget Nintendo actually applied this theory with a little console called the Gamecube which simply played games and nothing else. The console failed once people realized it would not play their DVD's or CD's, no one wants several little boxes littering your home that all deliver various types of media. We have become a society of people that wants..NO demands every form of entertainment medium instantly. When I was a child and I was stuck on a...

Add Me On Twitter

Free To Play Games (Pay To Win)

So recently I started playing the free to play game Happy Wars on my xbox, it's a fun multiplayer RPG alike title where the object is to take towers and capture the opponents castle. However with all free to play games there are special unique weapons/armor/items that cost real world money to acquire. However these items just so happen to be the most devastating of creations meaning that unless you buy them you'll be left defeated within seconds of starting a battle. This is precisely what happened to me when playing the game, during the third battle me and my party were at the mercy of the opposing team whom had used happy tokens (currency you gain by using real money) to acquire the best weapons and armor available. With one hit (yes ONE) I was defeated and by the time I respawned the other team had entered our castle and we tasted defeat. It is simply this that destroys these types of games and makes them as appealing as a hangman's noose to the hardcore generation o...

"NEW" Double Dragon 2 Demo Review

As some of you may be aware there is a new version/remake/re imagining of the beloved Double Dragon 2 sitting snugly on your new arcade titles list. Being a huge DD fan (my favorite was always Return on the SNES) I decided to download and play the demo and hope that it erased the horror that was Double Dragon Neon from my mind.....oh how wrong I was. A truly awful combat system coupled with nasty visuals not to mention a below average frame rate (I'm sure it was doing no more than 30fps) made me go back to the dash and check that I had downloaded the right game. Turns out I had downloaded the right game and this piece of clunky clumsy excuse for a videogame was a new version of DD. All I can say is COME BACK RISE OF THE ROBOTS ALL IS FORGIVEN!!!

I'm Back ;)

Well its been a rather long time but here I am again, I guess I kinda forgot about this place and was so tied up in things . A quick update before we go any further I have stopped uploading videos to my youtube channel, I stopped for many reasons that I explained in my last video. Xmas was rather good got two awesome films (Once Upon A Time In China 1 and 2) and well not much else lol but that was all I wanted really. Games wise I simply can't stop playing Tekken Tag 2, Anarchy Reigns, Tekken 6 and VF5FS, although I've found recently I've gone back to my retro fighting games such as DOA2/3 CVSNK2 and SC2. Anyways I hope to blog more often from now on and let you all know whats going on, if I don't then well I can't be bothered lol

I want to be a community manager

Image
When people ask me "what is your ideal job" a few pop into my head. Games designer, astronaut, games designer but the one that stands out for me the most is community manager. I would love that job so much interacting with the gaming community, playing games before they get released, meeting all the hot gaming chicks and telling them of my stories as a level 59 berserk master on some RPG It's the kind of job that you dream of but seldom ever get the chance to apply for, and when an opportunity does arise you would grab it with both hands feet and anything else that comes to mind. Is anyone looking for a community manager at the moment? I have my own hair I don't take up too much space I'm compact I'm flexible (well I can get my left leg over my head) Signed The Dragon with the ps

The Outcome To The Challenge

Here's the video for your viewing pleasure Linky Now here's the story of how this challenge came to be: Around two weeks ago myself and my friend were talking on Facebook, we were reminiscing about martial arts and the times we used to train.  He asked me if I still had it, I replied yes and said I could take him any day. His response was a challenge but not in the traditional way, he purposed that we fight on Killer Instinct for the snes since that was the only version he said he had played. I asked him if he was sure considering out of every fighting game I have played KI was the one I put the most hours into around 800 odd last time I checked. I offered a few other fighters such as SSF4AE or KOF13 he refused and said he wanted to play KI. Never one to back down from any challenge I accepted and the stage was set for our encounter. THE FIGHT : When I got to the shop I had brought two controllers (since he told me he didn't want to use my arcade stick)...

Craziest Rant Ever

Sometimes we have to say what we are feeling inside, what our heart is telling us. So I decided to do just that when a friend of mine challenged me to a game of Killer Instinct.

Video Game Violence The Myth

There has always been this huge myth surrounding the coalition between video games and violent acts committed by the people who play them. As a huge fan of video gaming from an early age (I remember playing the C64 when dinosaurs ruled the earth) I have always been exposed to their fictional world of entertainment. Around this same time I was exposed to violent films such as The Terminator and Robocop films that carried 18 certificates at that time. Watching them my grandmother was always quick to point out that the action was fantasy and that such things never happened in real life. Because of this I was able very clearly to differentiate the differences between reality and fiction. My nan was somewhat old school in her parenting ways however she had managed to adapt herself to the current way of thinking rather than be stuck in the 1930's. She taught me right from wrong, selfishness from selflessness. I understood what was the right thing to do and what was the wrong thing to d...

Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut?

Well it came out yesterday and I've seen the "new" endings and....well....I really didnt see the point of them changing it in the first place. I mean why did they change it due to fan pressure? Sigh.....fans dictating what should and shouldn't be in a game, there is a point where fans need to back down I feel and let the game designers do what they are paid to do. Now in some cases games designers need a good kick up the bum and need to be reminded how great games really are. Remember the 90's when devs really did love games and that love shined through in games like Mario Sonic Earthworm Jim to name but a few. And then something happened devs lost that love and the generic videogame was born. Fans had their input and it was welcome but there has to be a line drawn. A story is just that its told its retold but ultimately it never deviates to far from the original vision. In the case of bioware we MUST understand that it is THEIR story not ours. They create...

Something Random

You know I never really know what to write in these blogs half the time, I find myself more often than not just typing random things. So what's been happening well I started to film a little of my horror movie today, it went really well and even managed to edit it into a short scene. What's that you wanna see it? Well I might upload it to youtube depends ;) Oh yeah someone pinched one of my business cards! Well maybe they will visit the channel in the future :P Yep that's all I can think of for the time being but stay tuned as I will keep you up to date with my film and the general goings on. Until next time...
